Terms of Service: Your Guide to Therapy with YoungFerns
Please review the details on scheduling, billing, cancellations, and safety procedures to ensure a seamless experience.
Therapy Sessions
Ranging from 60 minutes to 3 hours depending on your child’s needs. We encourage parents involvement - feel free to observe sessions and use the waiting area. If you plan to leave during the session, ensure your phone number is on file, and return 5 minutes before the end for a brief review with the therapist. Please note, parents must pick up their child within 10 minutes after the session ends. If delayed by more than 10 minutes, another arrangement will need to be made.
Groups Therapy
Payment is due before the start of the sessions or upon receipt of the invoice. We do not accept health insurance but will provide the necessary documentation for insurance claims. Progress summaries and evaluations for insurance can be provided for an additional fee.

Progress Reviews
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to meet with the therapist every month to review progress. You will also receive quarterly summaries for insurance purposes.
Cancellations
Must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged. Exceptions for emergencies or illness may be considered. A replacement session may be arranged based on availability within the same week or following week, but missed sessions are otherwise void. Refunds are not allowed, as time slots and therapists are pre-booked.
Safety & Precautions
We take safety seriously. Children must wait outside the therapy areas until their therapist is ready. Only children receiving therapy are allowed in therapy areas unless otherwise arranged.
Waiting Room Discussions
While we try to maintain privacy, conversations may occasionally take place in the waiting area. Let your therapist know if you prefer private discussions.
Weather
YoungFerns does not follow local school district policies. You will be contacted by your therapist if sessions are canceled due to weather. If you cannot make it due to weather, inform your therapist, and you will not be billed.
